Core Programmes: Resilience

"The ability to bounce back after setbacks, disappointments or failure, to be flexible and adaptable and to create vitality and re-engineer yourself...."

Building Resilience incorporating the Resiliency Map®

Constant and relentless pressures can wear us down, burn us out, or hurt us physically and mentally. However, once we learn to use it, our resilient natures can buoy us during setbacks or times of difficulty, and bring us health and personal vitality throughout our lives.

Having a Resilient workforce is an essential element for any organisation, especially in times of change and economic downturn.

The Building Resilience workshops are tailored to each client's individual needs, and can be structured to complement - Building a Resilient Customer Focus team, Building a Resilient Salesforce, Building Resilient Team Leaders/Managers. This workshop provides an insight into our individual resilience - where our strengths are, and where our potential vulnerabilities are. It provides tools and strategies for building resilient beliefs and competencies, for improving our overall well-being and for increasing our effectiveness in times of change and pressure.

The Resilient Leader

This stand-alone workshop, incorporating Resiliency Map™, explores our ability, as a Leader, to bounce back after setbacks, to be flexible and adaptable, and to remain effective, even under pressure.

Each of us is born with a renewable capability for resilience - the built-in power to heal, regenerate, and grow beyond our own last known limit.

How well we utilise our resilient nature depends on many things: the number and types of changes or demands our bodies must manage at one time, our attitudes and general beliefs about the world, and the skills we have learned and mastered for dealing with our environments.

This workshop provides an insight into our individual resilience - where our strengths are, and where our potential vulnerabilities are. It provides tools and strategies for building resilient beliefs and competencies, for improving our overall well-being and for increasing our effectiveness as a leader in times of change and pressure.

The ABC of Well-Being

In a world of increasing choices and options, what choices will make us happier and improve our quality of life and wellbeing? Over the past 18 years whilst working with our corporate clients, a consistent theme of interest has emerged. "How can I share what I have learnt here at an organisational level with my family and friends?"

Following the success of our programme Real Relationships - a relationship enhancement workshop for couples - we have decided to expand the programme to teach a more complete series of wellbeing workshops.

Our series of open workshops incorporating key aspects of our life skills sessions focuses on 3 core areas intended to enable participants to enhance their wellbeing and relationship skills.

The programmes are depicted below:

Personal Resiliency

Resiliency is a core aspect of our life skills. Our ability to recover quickly from life's setbacks is a behavioural and emotional imperative. Using Resiliency Mapping processes we will provide participants with skills around Situational Mastery and Stress Reduction to help achieve life balance.

Meditation For Wellbeing

Almost before we could record history there have been reports of the health and wellbeing benefits from meditation. In these sessions you will learn how and why to meditate, and how to incorporate it into even the busiest schedule.

Behavioural Change

We have all been inspired to get fit, learn a new skill, or change some aspect of our life or behaviours. Easier said than done for most of us! This session utilises current research findings around how our brain learns new behaviours and forms new thinking patterns to make long-lasting, sustainable change.
